Hong Kong Police: SDU (Old Kitbash)

Month of April has been terrible so far, work, domestic stuff & my verge of malfunctioning laptop (threatening to stall even as i'm frantically typing away now....)

That totally leaves now room for working on any new bash or looking for parts. Fortunately, found this shot from one of my 2007/08 kitbash to share (and unfortunately the only single pix that i retained).

HKPD's SDU has been previously done to death by the likes of DML, HT, 3Zero (if any one could still recall this brand) & after wards rip-off by VeryHot. This version shown is the initial release by VH with some minor parts from HT thrown in e.g. PASGT helmet from HT's SWAT. The other figure in the background however is from HT's boxset original SDU ver.3 Breacher.

So that's it for April then, hopefully May will be a more relaxing month all round for some new Kitbashes.

SOG: Vietnam

Kitbash based-off a Mil-FIG original (with subtle changes).

SOG units in Nam are typically made up of: SEALS, Green Berets, CIA, Force Recon etc. So this bash's just one of the guys mentioned above & broadly termed - SOG.

No hardcore mods on the Stoner LMG here e.g. shorter barrel or drum mag, everything's just stock & bashed with light weathering.

U.S. NAVY RIVERINE SQN.

In my opinion, SWCC is no longer the Navy's 'best kept secret' but rather these guys from RIVERINE.

Here's the whole chunk from Wiki: "The Riverine Squadrons of the United States Navy are elements of the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC). According to the Navy: “The Navy’s Riverine force focuses on conducting Maritime Security Operations and Theater Security Cooperation in a riverine area of operations or other suitable area. The force is capable of combating enemy riverine forces by applying fires directly, or by coordinating supporting fires.”

New Year, yet another kitbash.... how much longer can i continue???

Shooting the breeze with fellow kitbashers recently & some topic came up on how someone commented on the forum that 'any kitbash that's not contemporary = historical'.... etc.

I'm not one to horde & stock up accessories but a quick mental recap of whatever i have in inventory makes it painfully clear; my M4s with ACOGs, EOTECs & AN-PEQ4s have now been overtaken by MK18s, MK11s, HK416s with Specter scopes, PEQ15s etc. AORs & Gen2 BDUs are now the norm. MICH replaced by rail-mounted FAST Helmets etc etc. In short, i'm historical or rather my 1/6 stuff is.

So, determined to put out something 'modern', MW3's Delta squad became the obvious choice since i've recently completed the game. Here's one for 2012....

Once upon a time, this was the image (below) that launched a thousand kitbashes (ok exaggerating here but maybe a couple dozens) & capture the imagination of the world on SF operators.


This is the future of modern warfare: small dedicated highly trained specialized group of individuals operating in theatres of low intensity level conflicts.

HT even had their very own release of a boxed figure.


Borrowing from the title of Linda Robinson's book “Masters of Chaos”, this is my very own ‘missing the boat on HT release’ kitbash interpretation of the subject.

The bash was done sometime during my pre-blogging days & some of the parts used are already quite dated. Finally getting the opportunity now to present it proper.
